I attempted to do my front differential oil. Got the skids pulled ok. Had the M10 for the fill and found on my 97 the drain is a m12 hex I did not have. Next weekend I guess. Got one ordered.

Gear lube seemed fairly clean anyway but was over 1/2 a quart low. I topped it up and will use four wheel drive some to stir it up before I do get it changed.

Very nice. When I get under there for the suspension overhaul, it would be smart of me to do some preventative cleaning and por-15. Especially while most of the truck will be out of the way.

Front end is getting a face lift. Bumper is on the way. I figured this would be a good time to kill the chrome.

White or black for the grille? What say you? The Toyota emblem will be white either way.

That's the plan. Just wondering if it's removable to be painted, and I'm 50 miles from the truck at the moment so I can't look. Ha ha.

    No its not removable

I myself like black. Colormatch is a little too much going on IMO

1st page of my build has a pic of my white pee-runner with the black grill. Check it out

Whatever you do, the emblem in white idea sounds killer, in my mind at least.

    I know it's not the same grille(grill?), but IMG_4134.jpg
And now that I've uploaded these I realize this isn't what you meant but anyway. The black outside would probably look better on the 01-04s but

    IMG_0377.jpg

    I think this looks better.

That straight on shot is bad ass homie. What's been modded or changed on that second pic from the original? Or is the first pic the original?

Cheap spacers and blocks, 33's, poor man upgrades.
Sedona is a great spot to 4x4, enjoy it and have a few local beers

I put leds where the blinkers were, changed the grill(e) color, painted the skid and lifted a little.
