    Hi,
I'm new to the forum. Searched for this subject but didn't find anything relevant.
Just took delivery of my 2017 TRD and ordered some mud flaps and other stuff from Weathertech. The flaps I received looked pretty good, and I followed the instructions. Pretty simplistic. I do not have fender flares and the flaps I ordered were for non flared wheel wells.
To my surprise, they didn't fit at all. Not even close, really. When I put one screw in to start the installation, the bottom screw and the inside screw holes were more than a hole off.
The curved portion in the back wouldn't butt up against the fender portion, either.
The other flap was a mirror image of the one I tried to install, so there does not seem to be a defect in the part.
Anyway, bottom line, I am sending them back. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'd hate to think there's some problem with the truck, because that'll make any mud flap installation difficult or impossible.
I don't really want to drill my own holes, or make holes in a generic flap.
    Any advice or information appreciated!
Also, the box they came in was for 2016 model, I don't imagine there has been any change in the wheel well design.

Could they have sent you the set for a flared truck ? I bought those for my previous non flared 2016 and they fit perfect

Make sure you have the correct flap in the proper position. And at the rear side of each wheel. I was admittedly tired when I installed the OEM flaps on my truck last weekend, but it sure seemed confusing at first. Look again and make sure you have each flap in the correct position on the truck.

They could have sent you the wrong flaps.

If you plan on offroading I'd get plasticolor as they're floppy and rubberized. The weather tech are stiff and will rip off easier when offroading.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I triple checked the parts and the installation procedures. Honestly, the thing can only go on one way, but I made sure. I'm like you guys, I was totally surprised that they didn't work. Still shopping around, will take a look at the plasticolor.

Do they make a TRD without flares? Do you have painted/body colored flares?

Compare my SR without flares to your truck.

ETA: Here are the ones I ordered for my 2017 SR without flares.

I didnt' go weathertechs because they weren't flexible. I would have went with plasticolor, but they aren't plain..... I made mine out of tractor trailer flaps. 2 TT flaps gave me four Taco flaps.

That looks like a redneck truck. Did you use any bailing wire and duct tape for mods yet?

Either you or them did something wrong. I got Weathertech mudflaps and all was just fine. Should fit 16 or 17. Only question is if you have flares or not. The image on the Weathertech site isn't brilliant, but if you've got a TRD model, then you've got flares.

You know, I think you guys are right. I'm not happy with my ignorance but I'm glad it was cureable. Now to contact weathertech and try to work out an exchange.

TDR Sport has color-keyed"overfenders". TRD Off-Road has black "overfenders". If you're still interested in Weathertech then you need to order the set that fits flared fenders. I have a set and they fit perfectly.

Yes, you're right. My last truck was black, so I never noticed the difference, even though it was there. I'm glad to have joined this forum and benefited from others' knowledge.

Also, there's nothing great about the Weathertech flaps. They're just cheaper than the Toy option, and I spent all my money on the JBL upgrade.

Well, they're going to exchange them at no shipping cost to me, so can't complain about that. I'll probably want something different in the future, (really liked the Rokblokz) but these'll do for now.
