When I was shopping around for mine I called Roseville Toyota and got the run around from the sales manager. Really pushy too.

So what I did was open google maps and search for Toyota dealer. Then I called everyone within 2 hours of me and told them I was shopping around and game them the exact truck I wanted. Only a few had it so I asked for an out the door price. Took the lowest price and called back the other dealers letting them know what price I'd been quoted. I was up front that I was looking for the best price and talking to a few different dealers. Most of them were cool and played the game. Anyway I got my 2017 TRD OR DCLB 4x4 out the door for $37500 from Modesto Toyota. It had nerf bars and front mud flaps on it which I didn't want. I'm sure with out add ones $37000 is possible.

Oh and when they quote you a price ask for it writing and be firm about it because the other dealers might want to see it and so you can hold the dealer to it.

I bought mines it was at Folsom Lake, the only problem is they wont add any options we wanted. Maita did not want to negotiate. Elk Grove barely had any inventory.

If your willing to drive between Sac, the Bay Area, and the Central Valley you could probably hit up 10 or so more. Easy. Plus they're all only a phone call away.

A neighbor of mine bought a subaru this way and they delivered it from almost 2 hours away.

Oh and when I say out the door I meant taxes and fees included.

I think the price of my truck was just under $35k.

Will do. Do you have his contact info?

I was hoping for someone just a tad closer. I live between sac and Stockton. So it's not crazy far, but closer would be more convenient.

When I was looking for my 2015, I specifically wanted to hit some dealerships in the foothills so I could see how the truck performed on steeper grades, especially highway passing on grades, and windy country roads. I was coming from a first gen manual, FYI.

I hit Shingle Springs and Auburn dealers. The test drives were good, but neither had the inventory I wanted. I went down to Miata, same deal. They all say we can get you one for a $200 transfer fee.

I then got on TrueCar and did some searches for exactly what I wanted over all of Norcal. You need to do some specific zip code/range searches. I got a hit in Santa Rosa at Freeman for $1000 under invoice. Beat the heck out of everyone else, and avoided a $200 fee. Just paid my gas and time. I asked how they could do that price so easy, and he said volume all day long. Scottish dude, can't remember his name, but his card might be in my owner's manual.

Edit: here it is, but you need to go online to get the deal, I believe. Better deals that way anyway.

Try Lodi, Best prices I could find anywhere in a 200 mile radius. 2016 OR with tech package , tow package, automatic for 36,800. Basically loaded. Came with the predator steps I had them remove them and they took 600 off the price.

    Stockton was good too.

Modesto ended up being a perfered dealer for my credit union so I was able to get a good deal and another half a point off my apr.

Merced played ball too but they only had an inferno colored truck in the config I was looking for.

This is all getting further from Sac though.

I'm looking to put an add a leaf on my 07 dbcb. Anyone know a good shop in the Sac area to do the install? After adding a shell I must of lost some lift in the back. Thanks

Hey Everyone! Sacramento-ish local, I'm from the Grass Valley Area. Any one have any suggestions for some good trails to hit and or camping in the area? I'm looking to try and get out this week. It seems that all of the places I've grown up using have just about been shut down. I'm looking for places besides, foresthill, mammoth bar, rubicon, Greenhorn, etc.

Thanks for the tips jqueener! Was just out in the foresthill area, near yankee bridge, lots of landslides from the rain, nothing a stock rig couldn't handle tho. I'll have to see if any of the lower elevation trails near downieville are accessible!
