I installed a roll up cover yesterday and have a question. There's a rubber flap at the back where the tailgate is. I tucked it in last night and shut the tailgate. It rained and water ran down inside the tailgate? Does the flap go on the outside along the top of the tailgate? Pictures I saw on realtruck. com where I got it from do not show that? I hope I didn't screw up the install....the directions weren't so great as I had to drill the front brackets to get the bolt through there for those plastic thumb nuts....damn bolt isn't long enough really....
Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!! Have a good Sunday!

I've got the Rugged Liner one, you have to roll the rubber flap outside and not tuck it in. Also, you shouldn't have had to drill anything, it fits perfectly. The front and rear bed rail bracket secures by a allen screw.

Thanks for your answer and thought so. Had to just drill the front 2 brackets a little bit to get bolt to drop down-wish bolts were longer as I can barely get those 2 plastic thumbscrews on- but looks like front 2 bolts are inside the bulkhead rail and can't replace them?? I may try and fine a better thumbscrew rather than these 2 plastic one-I guess it's where you can take the cover off right there? I appreciate the help!!!

One more thing. So I went out at lunch and pulled the flap out. Seems you have to get it started then run your finger underneath to get it out. Is that what you have to do every time you close the tailgate or am I missing something. seems to be a pain to have to do every time? Thanks for any ideas!!!

Thanks for the video Nexusix!! In the end he has the tailgate flap on the inside rather than on top of the tailgate railing. So, 100% waterproof if that flap is on top and if tucked in, a little water may run down the back of the tailgate there, but still shouldn't get inside the bed. I guess it depends on how much of a pain in the ass it is to leave the flap out??? All you have to do is pull it out and run your finger along underneath it to spread it out across the top of the tailgate. I don't see any other way to do it???
Thanks for all your help-have a great day!!!

I have the TruXedo Lo Pro that has the same rubber seal. I close my tailgate 1st then latch the cover closed. The seal stays on top of the tailgate. Took me awhile to get used to shutting the tailgate 1st but I have closed it with my tonneau cover closed and ran my finger under the seal like you mentioned to get it on top of the tailgate. I have tailgate seals on my truck so I want the seal on top of the tailgate. (Which I believe is where it is suppose to be.)
