we all want an easy mod for anytime foglight that will work on low and high beams relay easy to find just trying to find where to connect to another spot for power like older mod tacomas ....

Whats the point.... high beams are bright cant use them in the fog.... prolly why the fogs turn off when you turn on the high beams. Just an observation.

It's doable and there's a writeup on it but its one of those mods where you get very little for the risk.

The risk is electrical issues .. dealer will not fix under warranty after hack.

The whole reason I bought and extended warranty was in case there's an electrical issue with a new version of the truck. I can see adding a light bar and a new circuit but hacking an existing circuit for a useless mod?? Help me see the light .....

To bobbrown14 ...the thing is really out of my experience never really use fog lights for fog....as many eould agree just for more light.....that is why i put led in fog lights....so to run them on with high beam would give me more light in the woods ...off road etc. And the mod i saw was totally reversible without splicing wires just connectors.. but on 3rd gen' did not see one yet....

Like I said there's a write up for it ... you have to re-wire some jumpers in the fuse box.

I'm not trying to argue about why you want to do it... it's just the fog lights don't really do much of anything once the high beams are on. I have LED fogs and LED highs and lo's.... so I kinda know what I'm talking about here. My point here is just get a light bar with a separate fuse and good to go.. you will accomplish what you intend with getting more light off road. I don't think the "all the time" fogs do that for you. My opinion... take it for price paid.

I agree with the above. I was told that in some states it is illegal to run fog lights with your high beams on. My Mustang, Mercedes and Tacoma fog lights all turn off automatically when you engage the high beams. There's a reason for this.

Lots of folks have added a LED light bar right below the grill and above the chin bumper... that little space with the black plastic. You can mount the LED bar right behind the plastic and good to go.. some have cut some of the plastic away but it you wanna keep the stock look that's an option.
