Yep I've seen the same thing. That will never happen for a full tank of fuel. The computer does some squirrely stuff, but dividing number of miles by gallons of fuel does not lie.

So you need a full size. Comparing the Tacoma to full size doesn't compute in my book.

I got around 15 in the beginning then around 3000 miles averaging 17.5 now, best was almost 20, I do mostly city driving. I have 4x4 Pro stock tires. Not great but not too bad.

Considering the F 150 4 X 4 cost about the same out the door, gets the same if not better gas mileage with better power and towing capacity, It's definitely a contender.

Enjoy, to me the taco and full size trucks are different beasts.

Yup tires an winter gas. Thats why I am going narrower on the tires and getting LRR tires when the time comes. You also need to recalculate your MPG for the milage error caused by tire diameter, if you haven't already.

Just like the people on here posting dash pics with unrealistic mlileages there are some idiots on fuelly. I looked at one profile that had a high 20s to 30 average on a 3rd gen taco. The profile went back several years and had 40 and 65mpg postings. I don't know what this fool was doing but it makes the data on there suspect.

Yes. I think the max PSI for those is 51? It's dark and I can't read it but it's still below max for sure. Now on the steelies is came with I think the pressure was a lot lower.

Yea, so like I said a few pages back, you are driving like a 98 year old woman. Anyone who goes 60mph on the interstate around here is a liability or an asshole.

You're probably that guy that merges at 40mph because heaven forbid you use the skinny pedal on the right.

I honestly couldn't imagine driving slowly or in a way to conserve gas... even if you could save 50 dollars a month doing it.. so 600 a year (it would never be that high but lets use it) I waste 600 a year on much much worse lol

And I enjoy the skinny pedal wayyy too much... this truck is tight and fun to drive... let the beast run :)

63 in a 65 is fine with me. I stay in the right lane, cruise control. I don't have to pass anyone or hit the brakes. It's relaxing to me and I'm not whining out the engine. It's flat here, so I get good mileage and when I'm towing, I'm not even going that fast. A cubic yard of rock or several pallets of sod, or a boat, motor and trailer, and I'm in S4 the whole way and doing 55/58 at best. I get shit mileage (15-17 if I'm lucky) when pulling a trailer with rocks and two pallets of sod in the bed.

Where I drive, most of the interstate is 55/60. Now I've seen 75mph, but it was the middle of nowhere. And if you think someone driving 60mph on the interstate is a liability, then chances are, you're the liability. But I'm sure they're not as bad as the people driving in the passing lane or passing on the right. But the people driving in the passing lane, even if they're going the speed limit or faster - get out of the passing lane! I wish it was as enforced in the US as it is in Germany to not get out of the passing lane, or passing on the right, or tailgating.

I think, in the US, we need to start calling the left lane the "passing lane" rather than the "fast lane". I've seen a lot of people going 5mph over the speed limit who don't move over for faster traffic. GTF over Joe! I seriously think it's because they believe they're already going over the speed limit so they belong in the "fast lane". But if it's a "passing lane", well, if you're not passing, then get over! Semantics maybe, but maybe it would help. And good forbid someone is driving a Dodge Challenger and wants to pass someone in the passing lane, the person they're trying to pass goes from 9mph over speed limit to 5mph under in a second!

And one last rant. Use a turn signal when exiting a roundabout, it really helps everyone. You don't need to use a signal to enter a roundabout, we know where you're going. When you pass the last exit before your exit, turn on that right turn signal to let everyone know you're exiting the roundabout. It speeds the whole thing up for everyone and keeps people from stopping when they enter, because the person exiting didn't signal when turning onto the same road as someone trying to enter.

I need an obligatory "get off my lawn", or 'I would have gotten away with it, if not for you meddling kids'. But seriously, I just put down all new sod in the yard, so seriously, don't park on my newly sodded lawn.

Oh, and I take the money I save in gas and buy ammo. Good ammo. I hate average ammo and good ammo is much tighter and a lot more accurate.

    Threads a little old but...

I go by mileage too. I fill up once I hit 300 miles. Hardly ever look at the gas gauge.
