So I have a 2000 tacoma sr5 with a 3 inch rough country lift on it. I lI've on some dirt roads that get bad in the spring. Yesterday when I was driving my shock rusted out. I was wondering if there is any way to fix this problem or if I'm screwed. The mount on the frame rusted and snapped off.

wow, thats a new one for me.
you can fix it, but its not going to be easy. you could go with an aftermarket shock mount, or just clean that up and reweld it to whats left of your frame.

Can it be fixed, sure. Would I be worried about other frame rust... Definitely! You should have a dealer check your frame for structural soundness. I'd be concerned about the truck buckling in half if the frame is rusting inside-out near the back of the cab like is so common on a 1st gen

Thanks for the quick response. I'm going to take it to my welder tomorrow and see what he says. Probably will go to a dealer as well
