Toyota plans to use the Lexus NX200T Turbo Charged 4-cylinder across the Toyota line in the next few years including the Camry.

I can see Toyota boosting the 3.5 litre engine in the future.

I don't think toyota should drop the v6 in the Camry for a turbo engine. But feather add a turbo option into the lineup.

Salesman told me because of the previous gens. Owners would be able to purchase the supercharger without voiding the warranty. But often, the owners would change the pulley and end blowing the motor and expecting Toyota to warrant out the job. So Toyota said no more. I really hope he was lying.

He was. Emission is the big one. On the previous gen 4.0, they also apparently had an issue chewing up serpentine belts at ~10K mi. Also, Toyota wouldnt let you roll the SC into the purchase price with TFS financing. And a $5K+ install option wasnt very popular standalone if they cant finance it.

I had the TRD Gen 2 supercharger on my 2002 access cab with a MT. Super fun to drive but knocked like crazy at low elevation (didn't have the 7th injector kit), drank premium gas, and I got about 14 mpg. I'm much happier with the power delivery and fuel economy of the 3.5. While I'd probably give a S/C kit a hard look if they released one for this truck, I don't think I'd be able to swallow the cost - really just don't need the extra power (unless I end up getting a boat. which I want but the finance committee hasn't approved).

As an added bonus, you can also use it to blow the leaf's & grass cuttings from your yard & driveway.

I might need to twin turbo it for that. We have a lot of trees on our property.

Really guys!... It's a fake turbo. Just google search turbo center. And you can see it's made out of plastic. Way to get my hopes up for. I guess it would be a great leaf blower.
