I'm debating entirely removing the rear seats, the storage boxes, and center storage in the back of my access cab to give me more space and maybe make enough room for my Doberman to hang out back there without hitting his head on the roof. Maybe bolt some kinda tool box back there and out up some molle webbing on the back.

Lets face it, those rear seats are literally useless. Zero leg room. Might work for a quick trip, but I'd rather take my dog with me anyway.

Has anyone ever done this? Looks like if I remove the storage I'll have to get a little creative with the carpet. I plan on making some kinda mat to put back there.

Interesting idea. I rarely carry more than one passenger anyway. I wouldn't mind more room for tools.

Search for dog bed, access cab. There are all sorts of designs people have come up with, and how to do them.

On second thought, after a quick search, try dog platform. Or behind seat storage.

I removed the driver side rear seat. haven't touched the tool box. Seat came out easy.

The only issue I'm seeing with the platform is my dog not having any headroom. He's pretty tall. Which is why I want everything out. Still deciding. The platform has been my plan from day one though.
