So I bought my wife a shiny new 2017 Highlander a couple of weeks ago. While we were at the Toyota dealer, I got the fever for a Tacoma. I've wanted one for a while now, but never really got serious about buying one. I'm currently driving a 2012 Silverado crew cab that my son is begging me to sell to him (at a highly discounted price, of course). I wasn't planning on getting rid of it, but now that I got the fever....

Problem is, I'm all over the place. I know I want a long bed, but can't decide between a AC or DC (leaning more to DC). I like the TRD OR, but wonder if I really need all the bells and whistles. Maybe I'd be just fine with an SR5. Hell, I even thought about buying an SR and have a lot of money left over to blow on "truck stuff". I can't even decide between manual or auto, or which engine I want. Color? Pfft, another issue. It's okay, though. I'm in no rush. I'm giving the boy some time to get his funds together.

Anyway, I've been lurking for weeks and decided I'd go ahead any post up something.
Off to the picture threads.

In my opinion I would buy a DCLB Sport. I have the DCSB and at times I wish I had a long bed. Just my two cents. You won't regret buying one.

Well, I think I've narrowed it down to two options.

    TRD OR DCSB MT
    TRD OR DCLB AT

So what would I rather, manual transmission, or long bed? That's the question.
The good news is, my boy decided he wants a Z71 instead of my truck.
I was going to sell my truck to him for 4K less than what I was going to ask.
Now I'll have an extra 4K to play with.

Dang tough choice...Two completely different trucks! The Transmission is the easiest to narrow down(MT of course) Now the million dollar question.. SB or LB This is all truly personal choice:argue: I have a DCSB MT and never once from camping to a Lowes trip have I ever said "wish I had a long bed" Plus SB looks soooo much better in the DC:D

Alrighty. I have to make the decision tonight so I can head to the credit union tomorrow and tell them who to send the check to. Not sure if I'll be able to pick it up this weekend or next.
And I'm not sure if I'll fly there or ride my motorcycle there and haul it back.

I've narrowed it down to 3 trucks.
    All are DCSB MT 4WD.

    1. Silver Sport $32,900
This one is my favorite color. My current truck is silver. My other favorite (if it's possible to have two favorites) would be quicksand, but I couldn't find one close enough for the right price.

    2. White OR $32,500
This one has to be the best bang for the buck. Color wise, I like white, but didn't really want white.
    IMG_2809.PNG.jpg

    3. Gray Sport $33,600
This one is the closest to me, but the most expensive. I really like the color, but it's a bitch to keep clean.

I feel like I'd be stupid if I didn't pick #2, but damn, I really like silver. I'm going to call on #3 and see if I can get him lower on the price.

Well, I went with the OR.
$32,500 and they said they would deliver it to my house for $250. All the way from Atlanta to Baton Rouge. It was going to cost me more to get a plane ticket and gas to drive back. I mailed the check today and they mailed me the paperwork. Can't wait to get it signed and returned so the can deliver it.

Thread title is no longer valid!

Out with the old, in with the new.
Got me a Taco! My son is happy too. He gets a new (to him) Silverado.

Oh how time flies. Already been a year. I meant to bump this thread a few weeks ago, but forgot.
The Taco has undergone a surgery or three in that time. I’m still as excited about it as I was on day one.
