I've made some killer smoked chicken wings..
Put your wings in a ziplock, drizzle them with olive oil and cover them in your bbq rub. Shake them up and get them coated real good. Put them in the smoker at 275 for 2 and a half hours.

The olive oil will help crisp the skin of the chicken, and you can finish them on the grill if you want them a little more crispy

yea i definitely didnt oil them up too much. i think i just rubbed them down and tossed them in for a while. I also didnt finish them on the grill. I may have to give her another try. but the first try was a COMPLETE fail. Thanks for the recipe though!

We deep fry chicken wings and drummies about 10 at a time in a basket of peanut oil, 10-12 mins at a time, then sauce em up. Got to brine them with water, pepper flakes, paprika, and garlic overnight, or two nights is better. Those are some damn good chicken wings.

Edit: and pink salt, of course...

They have a rubbery texture if the skin doesn't get crisp.. and that texture doesn't work for wings. Just watch for flare ups on the grill, my old 4 burner was bad about it when I finished wings on it.

Richland rd is in NC...but is within driving distance for us upstate folk. There's been a couple trips up there in the past few months.

What difficulty level do you wish to engage in? Want to crawl rocks? Hang with like minded folks and cook and camp? That's about every other month here... I find short forest service roads that I can put the metal down just about every Sunday, but that's a half mile tease then hike a bit for my PreRunner. What you want to do?
