I wanted a gray Tacoma so bad. But, I couldn't be choosey because I also wanted a manual. Ended up with a silver Tacoma and couldn't be happier, but everything I see a gray one I'm drooling LOL!.

Love those TRD wheels. What is your set up on your lift? I want to bring mine up to about 3in and yours looks similar to what I want.

Anyone get their bumpers, skids, sliders shipped to them bare steel? If so what did you do with them? Paint, powder coat, etc. Thanks trying to figure it out.

A lot of guys go with self etching primer and bedliner.
I did self etching and then Rust-Oleum textured Aged Iron. Looks good next to MGM.

I had mine shipped powder coated, but don't know if I'd do that again. It added cost and wait time to my purchase and I don't know that it was really worth it.

I understand the powder coating was supposed to be more scratch resistant, but when you're dragging the weight of your vehicle on a slider, the scratch resistance isn't very effective.

On my first trip after installing them, my skids and sliders did their job and took a beating. Which in turn meant I had to touch up all the scratches with rustoleum to avoid rusting. When I order the next piece of trail armor I'll probably just rattle can it.

I used self etching primer then rustolium rust reformer. Makes touch ups very easy and quick.
