What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I don't know if you treat your frame before each winter, but I plan on just blasting mine with FluidFilm annually along with the rest of the truck.

 

I haven't yet but am considering it. Does anything need to be taped off, or are people just spraying all the metal down as is?

Installed the OEM roof racks just before the snow started flying here!

 

Did you tape anything off or just "spray carefully?"

 

I saw no reason to tape anything. Im just careful not to get it on my body panels.

 

Cover the wheels and tires with plastic and go to town, that's all I did.

 

I use that stuff on my truck and ATV but don't use any tape. However be careful around plastics because it slightly discolors it...

Which button/rocker/or switch are you all using for light bars? I'd like to keep it as close to the fog light size as possible

Here's what I used for mine:

 

Having frame coating here is very popular. I am having mine sprayed each year during fall so it let time to have some dust to stick on it. No need to cover anything and just wipe the fumes on the parts that received some. Then don't wash the underbody until spring and in my case I don't wash it until next treatment. I do have some stuff inside the door pannels and in rocker pannels too. It does leak with time and dust stick on it so it is making dirty spot on my paint put I just wipe it off when I wash the truck. No harm to paint.

I got lucky too although married at 18? Wow! I thought I got married young at 25 and the only reason it was early is because my wife was from a different country and her visa here was going to expire. That was 21 years ago.

We went to Japan for our honeymoon. We had gone to Kauai a few months earlier, so going to Hawaii again seemed weird.

Just got tickets to Japan this summer. Finally going to the Toyota Museum this trip.
