Went out and shot a video. Yes, VO is campy, it was supposed to be. We tried it in vato, cowboy and russian. cowboy won.

 

Guns, Tacos, and camping... perfect combo. Where was my damn invite!??

Great vid. I like shooting film on trips, even though I don't usually have time to edit them. I probably have a few days worth of raw video on my hard drive.
One question though: was the trailer really necessary? I usually have extra room in my DCLB. Although you guys have a lot more toys than I do

 

My truck was packed full of camera gear and he has a bunch in the back of his. The trailer wasnt necessary, but if you got it why not. Plus it has all his water heater, big cooking base shelf and we had 5 people out there.

 

They have for years. They cover a lot of pro offroad races.

 

What's with the tent on top of the truck...??? Are you guys scared of snakes or creepy crawlers..????

 

um because it was raining, and because a RTT kicks the living shit out of a forest floor bed.

 

I still sleep on the ground, but that's just because I was a backpacker first and a 4x4er later. My backpacking gear is now off road gear. I've slept in a roof top tent and they're more comfortable. That said, by the look of this video, I'm going to make the assumption that these guys have quite a bit more money to play with than I do. I'm still saving my pennies in the hopes that I can one day get sliders. Dare to dream.

 

Nice short. I think it would have been awesome to have a bit of a narrative going the full thing (the short speech a few minutes in was fantastic).

 

Nice shots, both trucks look great. I've always wanted a Taco with TEs but your truck is making a good case for going with a set of Sixes instead...

I'm really not, at the end of the day it was an awesome weekend. I shot a scar, we blew up a bunch of tannerite, ate good food up in the mountains and drove around.
