I got tired of constantly cleaning my Camburg Uniballs due to dirt/grime. Even with a dry, Teflon (PTFE) lube, dirt still constantly accumulated on the uniballs.

Icon had a great solution for their UCAs, with the use of a Cover Cap as seen here:

    And installed here:

However, these caps don't fit the Camburg UCAs. So, choices are: 1. keep cleaning the Camburgs constantly, 2. Switch to Icon Uniball UCAs , 3. Switch to a ball joint UCA, or 4. Modify Camburg UCA to fit these covers.

    I opted for choice 4.
*** Note *** This probably voids any and all warranty to your Camburg UCA.

After much measuring, here is what you'll need if you want to go down this path.

2.5" OD, 1.75" ID (0.375" wall) DOM; length of 5/16" - you'll need 2 (one for each side)

    3" OD, 2" ID (0.5" wall ) DOM; length of 1/2" - you'll need 2 (one for each side)

Looks like this (1 of each of the 2 sizes):

Weld them together concentrically like this (shown before weld):

The smaller one fits the Icon covers perfectly; the larger one fits the top of the Camburg UCAs. You'll have to grind the bottom surface to fit the contour of the Camburg UCA disc. This shape, allow the ball full range of motion.

Now you just attach this to the top of the Camburg UCA. How you attach is up to you:

    1. This is not structural; there should be no stress to this part, so I suppose you could just JB weld them together. Just make sure you get a complete seal, because the idea is to keep water out and grease in.

    2. You could weld them together; I recommend you remove the UCAs from vehicle, and remove the uniball from the UCA. Even after attached, uniball can still be serviced/replaced, as the ball comes out the bottom.

    Final result:

Filled with a PTFE based grease (Superlube):
