Go to any FLAPS, Favourite Local Auto Parts Store, and get the DTC(s) read--then take it from there. Most likely the primary speed sensor has failed, though could possibly be a wiring issue...

Ok well its not the fuses. All good

Got a code off the engine light, says its a speed sensor. It only says its 3 of the tires.

What were you doing right before the check engine light came on?

Do you have an ABS light on as well?

If the speedometer does not work, then check the plug on the passenger side of the transmission. That is the speedo plug.

I got stuck in the snow, we had over 30 inches.
My abs has been on before this all happened.

The code just said the speed sensor on 3 of my tires.

"speed sensor on 3 of my tires" is the generic quickie description of the possible problem--the code would be most likely Pnnnn or Cnnnn. What was the code?

Never start fixing whatever the jackass with the code reader says the problem is, without looking up the code yourself. Having the code also lets you check the troubleshooting guides in the FSM to see exactly what conditions/failures generate that DTC...

Is your ABS light on continuously?

Yea my abs has been on before this happened. It would cost be over 500.00 to get it fixed.

If the code says it's a wheel speed sensor, I'm going to take a wild shot in the dark and say you have a bad wheel speed sensor. Call me crazy I know....

It could be frozen too based on the 30" of snow you described. You should get some @SDHQ OFFROAD wheel speed guards. I installed them after breaking one :anonymous:

Yep. Cost me $178 to replace one- they are sensitive.
It costs $80 for a 4 pack of these guards. Cheap investment

Are you hearing any howling noises from your wheels?

I got a wheel sensor from Amazon, for what seems cheaper than both of those. Cannot remember exactly, as it was a long time ago.
