They are awesome for spotting animals on the sides of dark dense roads!

Used all original Mounting hardware! Just need to take bumper off and dremel a small section about 1/4 inch on inside of bumber to place it back and pass through the mounts for the lights, Easy as that! no need to spend any extra money!

I have spoke about this many times in here. I support the DIY community and I am glad you are happy!

But it's not as simple as money saved or wasted, however you want to look at it. Some people don't want to drill holes in their crash bar. There are also negative implications for altering what is considered a safety feature. The aluminum crash bar has an important job and drilling holes in it will alter its ability to do that as there is not two spots it could fail. Aluminum is highly reliant on its rigidity and cracks when it fails. Holes in a structural area will cause cracks very quickly.

Not to mention the mounts provide ultimate adjustability and they are 100% fastened vs the self tapping screws many people use. Self taping screws are not the right hardware for holding something like an LED. Their correct application is for things like panels and trim that use many screws vs. the two that you would use in this instance.

These are just my opinions from many years in the trade. They are not meant to knock or be rude in any way. Just defending my product on my thread. Again I support the DIY aspect and have used many of the tips from TW. This is simply the logic I used when designing these mounts.

No need for self tapping screws it doesnt come with any, like i said it comes with all the hardware you need and its less then 1/4 hole, The bolt comes with a nut its a perfect area to use to get the nut in through the opening of the aluminum bar! I doubt the small hole will cause any structural damage, I understand you have a business to run and sorry to post this if you are trying to sell the stuff you make for this Light bar set up!
I have pics of the install but if it will hurt your business i wont post them! Im just trying to help!

80% choose Stealth for protection and because you don't have to cut the bumper.

He sold his mounts to Cali Rasied LED. So you need to buy them off there site now. If by law you need a license plate on the bumper like Colorado the light bar will be blocked by the plate. I highly suggest you get in touch with ACEkarut or look up the thread 2nd gen low mount/no drill license plate bracket. Super clean and high quality solution to dropping your plate lower so it's not in the way. Here's what mine looked like. IMG_3043.jpg

Hey thanks, I found his old set up at the cali raised led website. I live in Alabama and we don't have front license tags here so that's not an issue for me! Thanks for the info. I like the look of your truck simpich981, looks good. I especially like the honeycomb inserts in the grill. Is that how it came or something you added?

I'm currently in a dilemma trying to decide what to do about wheels. I just bought my 08 and it has stock Toyota 16 inch wheels but they were made by a company called enkei for Toyota as an option in 2008. Someone obviously stole all 4 of the center caps so the truck looks like crap. I went to the local dealer who was nice enough to look up the wheels and give me the center cap part number but unfortunately he said they were discontinued and he could no longer get them. I've searched the web to no end and can't find any replacements anywhere. Soooooo I'm at a point that I guess I am going to have to buy new wheels.... my problem is the tires on the 16"s are brand new so I hate to go bigger 17"s or 18"s which is what I want to do because then I have to buy tires too and I really don't want to drop that much on a truck I just bought. Trying to find 16" wheels I really like has proven difficult as well. I found a few I like but haven't pulled the trigger yet because I really want to go bigger! As you can see from the pic below the wheels are junk without center caps. Couldn't pass on the deal I got tho. 90k miles 1 owner garage kept, all the service records Anyway thanks again for the info. IMG_5541.jpg
