Yeah, we can go ahead and lock his thread. Unless Ramon turns it into a new GB thread :)

Good points, but legally speaking there is a difference for a business versus an individual.

I do believe the company probably made an honest mistake though.

Over 20 yrs ago a fellow came to buy my old Camaro. He made an offer, I verbally accepted, and he gave me $50 deposit till the next day. He came to my house the next day, I wrote a bill of sale in my house and went outside with him. His friend was looking at the car and began picking it apart and finding fault any little way possible.

After 30 minutes of this, the friend said we'll take it if you want to reduce the price. I refused and said "for one, you're spending $500 for a Camaro and sometimes they don't even run. This one runs, drives, and passes inspection..yes it needs work which I disclosed to the best of my knowledge and some is obvious such as paint..for another, there was an offer made, accepted, and deposit taken..a deal is a deal". He argued it was dark the night prior and I didn't let him drive it..which was false as he said he didn't want to drive it. He even said "well you filled out the title already so now it will cost you money for a dupe title". I said "true but that's your $50 deposit buddy".

I was threatened with legal action but offered to call the police for them. They left without a word. Different situation but legally I feel OP is right

They didnt run with his money. He can get a refund either by his own will or the business voiding the transaction. There has been no goods exchanged. Nothing is "binding" in that sense. He was given options. Take it or leave it. Its a free capital market. Both parties can do what they please.

Any other way, and it wouldn't be the 3rd gen section.

I agree with most every point on here. But I think most everyone on here would agree... if bass pro, Walmart, ect... messed up a sales ad on Black Friday and you walked in at 5am to buy it and they said oh we're sorry... our bad, we will nock a few bucks off the original price for our mistake. Their isn't a swinging dick on this forum that would be ok with that. Yall would raise hell and start demanding to see a manager lol. You know you would haha. You take the hit on the bad advertised price and move on. Because now that they haven't... guess what. They got their own thread started on tacomaWorld.

So after a couple days of no response from them with my call/emails, they just refunded the cost I paid for the frontrunner. Looks like I will be waiting until the groupbuy. @ramonortiz55 - Let's get the ball rolling! If you need any help lmk.

Excellent. I'd not hesitate to tell anyone not here as well. Same as I've blasted GM for their lies to me a few yrs ago
