What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Look up 2016 Tacoma baked headlights. Just finished BHLM. Super easy but his vid is a sr5. Gotta deal with the fender flares a little which he doesn't cover.

Finally got 285/75/16's installed.
It only rubs on the upper A-arm, but it is a hard rub at full lock. Did all the normal back yard poser flex crap and couldn't make it rub elsewhere. Not even the cab mount.
The truck has never had an alignment (even after the lift), and it's alignment check was fine. Surprising to me.




This was far overdue.

Yup that was the video I watched, but also read about guys cutting it and went for it. It was a little finicky to get out the other way, but worked well just the same.

 

Last weekend I installed Dynamat Extreme on each door and the rear wall behind the back seats. Today I finally finished my project by applying closed cell foam on top of all the Dynamat areas except inside the door cavity. I chose the Dynamat Extreme even though it was 15%-20% more than its true competitors because it had the best numbers. The asphalt products are much cheaper but can literally melt inside the door causing all kinds of problems. I would have liked to have used their Dynaliner product on top of the Dynamat Extreme but I found a cheap Chinese product that was less money for all 4 doors and the rear wall than the Dynaliner was for just the front 2 doors. You get what you pay for though as the aluminum foil was not attached securely like the Dynamat product and every time I touched the glued side of the foam big globs came off on my fingers making it much more difficult to apply. The Dynaliner product would have protected against oil, water, mold, mildew, and rust where the Chinese product gave no protection in those areas. The closed cell foam helped a little with the sound deadening but primarily is used for thermal insulation to give some protection for the wiring and switches in the doors and prevent the door panels from getting hot, especially in our hot Florida summers. The results were fantastic as it was like using ear plugs which only eliminated the ambient noise and none of the stereo music that I wanted to hear.

They had the cheapest shipping option that I could find. But honestly you might try the dealership. I paid the extra few bucks to not have to go back to the dealership just for the screws but they quoted me $1.14/was.

I got BBP for a reason. Not sure if my OCD will let this sticker stay where it is. My old truck had stickers from every trip we took. Not sure if I will continue the tradition.

 

How did you remove them to plasty dip because I'm gonna do mine I just got the plastydip and I'm looking for the best way to do it.

I have a switch pro on the way, and want to mount it in the same cubby. Are you using a mount or anything special to go in there? I have already pulled that panel apart in the past so that isn't an issue, I just want to make sure I don't need to order anything else in advance to get the same look.

Made a console organizer today. Started out with a cardboard mock-up about a week ago to see if I liked it. Had extra foam board left over and made a false bottom to elevate the organizer and provide a stealth space below if I ever find something to place in there. Cost less than $9 at Office Max.

 

How did you get the black plate here in cali? I thought there only reserved for antiques.
