Well I think I'm long overdue for making a build thread, but since I have some time I decided to make one. "RC Toy" nickname, because I think my truck kind of looks like a radio controlled (RC) toy truck; but it can also stand for Regular Cab Toyota... So whatever floats your boat.

Started off with a 2006 Tacoma, Reg. cab, base model, 4cyl, 5spd, with 55k miles on it, for $14,000. Bought the truck in September of 2013, when I was 19. Had Bilstein 5100's on all 4 corners, Deaver 1.5" AAL in the rear, and Eibach 650LB springs up front, sitting on 245/75/16 Firestone Destination A/T with stock steelies painted black.

    Now onto the fun stuff...

The Saturday after I picked up the truck, I bought a Better Built toolbox from AutoZone for it...

    100MEDIA$IMAG0430.jpg

Got the windows tinted and the Flowmaster put on a few weeks later, don't really have any specific pics of them. Also, color matched my grille (did autobody at the time so paint was free and readily available).

November of 2013 I drove to NY to pick up 5 285/75/16 BFG KM2's from a member on here selling them...

Then I went ahead and did my Satoshi grille mod

That is salt on the grille, was running the grille with no mesh since I was waiting for my mesh to show up...

Didn't do much to the truck for awhile because I was not working very much and was taking night classes for precision manufacturing (machinist).
Pretty much ran it and wheeled it this way with 2 pairs of 1.25" spydertrax wheel spacers. Painted my rear bumper to color match somewhere along the line...

Bought new tire in very early November of 2014, my 5 General Grabber AT2's in 33x12.5. I was looking for some new MT tires, but I have a tire hookup and he told me they had 5 of these a "return to store" because they were mounted and balanced and rubbed to much, so before the previous owner even left the parking lot with them, they were dismounted. Ended up scoring all 5 for $950 so it was way too good of a deal to pass up. Was not able to get them mounted until I bought new wheels which did not show up until January of 2015 since I ordered them just after Christmas.

Truck had already failed frame inspection, but I was waiting for my frame and all related parts to show up at the local Toyota dealership. Finally got that call on a Saturday morning to bring my truck down, they didn't give me a heads up like I had asked so I could get the truck ready for them. So immediately spent 2.5 hours stripping my truck down to what the service manager, the tech, and I had agreed upon to bring the truck in. Looked goofy as hell, but free frame from Toyota at nearly the cost of the truck when I bought it!

Here is the truck once it was ready to go to the dealer, stock size tires, no tool box, no grille, no diff breather mod, and cleaned up the bed and interior some.

    0317151732.jpg

    0317151732a.jpg

Then came the rear suspension install, broken Deaver AAL's and blown out 5100's...
Yes I need new bump stops...

    0404151622.jpg

    0404151942.jpg

While they were doing my frame, the found a sticky e-brake cable on the driver's side and the driver's side shoes had been worn down. I had originally planned to do rear brakes, but both AAL's were broken and separating from the leaf packs so I decided to do those, that is why the passenger side drum is off in the above pic. Needless to say, waited too long to get around to the e-brake cable and shoes. Thankfully the wheel cylinder blew out leaving the parking lot after getting an alignment...

Decided to get my extended length brake lines made up since I was going to have to bleed the wheel cylinders anyways (passenger side wheel cylinder blew up putting the new shoes in, but of course)

    0515151548.jpg

    0515151548a.jpg

Also, while they were doing my frame, the tech mentioned I had some slight seepage from my water pump, so I got a Toyota water pump and installed myself.

    0808151600.jpg

Then came the install of my armor in September of 2015. My new found buddy Levi, wanted to help me install it, so I took him up on the offer since he owns the garage/house in the below pics. I now do side work for him working on cars for some extra cash...

    Hit 100k miles 10/15/15

    1015152111a.jpg

Then came my bucket seat conversion, it was relatively straight forward and I had Levi help me figure out the wiring on the seat belt buckles. Anyone that wants a bench seat, let me know...

January of 2016, took a trip to Charleston, SC to hangout with my good buddy @Boogyman for a week...

May of 2016 I took a trip to my family's camp in Eustis, ME. Love going up, very rural and if you want you can day trip to Canada, Quebec is only 21 miles away. Flagstaff Lake is right down the road and is a very large lake. All of these were taken within 10 minutes of my cabin, except for the border one and the Sugarloaf one.

    Time to finish this thing...

So after wheeling in NH with @mach1man001 @ERMB @Boston10Taco @DoubleRGirl @Darth_Yota @WinSlow939 @jjsul @johnnym The truck didn't change much until the week before Christmas, December 2016. Added my uniball UCA's and Walker Evan Coilovers with remote resi and adjustable dampening. Also, threw in some 'new to me' CV axles with new Toyota OE axle seals. Had to make some misalignment spacers at work so I could mount my coilovers, only took about 2 hours to make 4 of them on a Saturday at my shop.

    1222162210.jpg

All was in preparation for my 2nd trip to South Carolina last year, left Christmas night and got back New Years Eve day
