Are you running the harness for the fog/driving lights too? I have retrofits, but my fogs are the Flosser bulbs and harness. (Ultimate Fog Light Upgrade) Nothing on the market right now that has the output, correct beam and price tag than this set up.

Got 4 months of use out of my second set of Osram CP64206 - 85/80W. I really like the output, but might have to switch to a cheaper alternative...

That's not much time at all. I had those exact bulbs in mine for 13 months. The night before I was going to switch to my retrofits, the bulb dies. Fitting. There must be some other factor. How many hours do you approximate you got out of them? If you drive several hours with them on a day, that can change things.

Got 10 months out of the first set, reasonable. No idea on lamp hours, but we have been getting more rain and we are required by law to have headlights on if using wipers. These look like a contender at a much lower price.

That's actually a nice thing, having to run your lights when it rains. I always do mine here. In lots of traffic in the city, its a lot safer to see the cars that are moving with their lights on.

Note that while the H4 Hella 100/80w bulbs are a lower price, they are also much shorter life. The Hella's are rated at 100 hours vs 200 hours for the Osrams.

Having an issue with my low beams now. My passenger light went out and replaced it a silvania extra vision bulb...same wattage as factory. Everything worked. The next day decided to replace the driver side with the same bulb...everything worked. Got in the truck this morning...no low beams. High beams work. Shouldn't the harness be safe with any wattage bulb? With the factory harness I usually get 2 years with the same bulb.

When I replaced the passenger side it was black on the inside of the bulb. Usually the filament breaks loose. The first time I seen this in a light bulb. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Alittle up date. I connected the factory harness and the low beams now work. Decided to remove the upgraded harness and water came out of one of the relays. I'm now wondering if that was my issue. Later today I'll reconnect everything and see if that works.

    PMed you.

They do not make them in H11. Check out my H11 foglight upgrade:

The link in the OP to the osram 100/90w says they're not available. Has anyone found them at another location?

I am not. I have a first gen. From my understanding, the fogs are only for 2nd gen+?

If you have factory fog lights then I imagine you could, you would just have to make the harness to fits the connectors.

On the other side the increase wattage and decreased resistance hasn't been tested on a first gen like the second gen.

After having issues with water getting into my relays. I took the harness out to let dry for about a week. Today I slaved the harness back in. The headlights don't work.

If you guys decide to get the harness or already have it I highly recommend protecting the relays from water.

At this point I maybe sol.

I don't think additional protection from water is necessary for the normal use so much as being careful to not directly spraying it with a pressure washer when cleaning the engine bay. I've cleaned my engine bay several times with a pressure washer and been careful to avoid the electronics and never had an issue. I've run the harnesses for close to 10 years on many vehicles and never had one fail.
