Haha true. I know nothing about guns or really have any opinion, but just wanted to clear the clutter from the NorCal BS thread and consolidate the info for easy access.

Lol nah, I get it though, that subject is annoying to people with no interest. All I'm saying is nobody goes and makes a "NorCal BS thread bitching about your kids" when the thread goes on and on about everyone's kids.

oh trust me, i am agreeing with you. Its not clutter if 90% of the thread is contributing. Mr Participation trophy wanted in on the fun but cant provide anything to it. Thus, here we are.

I agree, I figured it would be good to have a consolidated thread with all info easily accessible. The last string of gun talk in the BS thread lasted 3 days and a ton of pages. Good conversation but once the chatter stops the info is pretty much gone/forgotten due to the activity in that thread. Also a greater chance of not getting the BS thread locked if anyone goes on rant about laws and unmentionable material.

I'll admit I know nothing about guns and shot one a handful of times. I have no interest in them but feel like it would be good for me to learn more.

Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers as this is a sensitive subject for most (watch the show Making History Episode 2 touches on this). Just figured since we have other sub forums in the NorCal section like Skiing and trip planning which would dominate the BS thread if the other threads weren't there.

300 rounds? Yikes. My class said bring 50 rounds, and I ended up using only half of that to qualify. Maybe your county has a different guideline for qualifying or something. It blew my mind when I went to qualify with a group of dudes whom of which half of them had only been around handguns since the class started it seemed like. Dude's with brand new Kimbers and n' shit... couldn't hit the silhouette target 10 feet away. smh

Good luck qualifying! Hopefully it isn't too crazy.

Ahh makes sense. Curious to hear about the situation awareness part. I need to get in and take some more classes like that. Good shit to learn and understand IMO.

I have a 1873 Winchester 22 lever action I found in my grandpas attic. Is an amazing find and it's in beautiful shape. He customized it to better suit his needs as a shooter and it fits beautifully when I hold it.

    Passed my qualifications testing Saturday.

I cleaned and shot it last trip to the range and it was awesome. Fun little plinker and the family lineage part makes it even better. Lots of fun to be shooting that old of a rifle in great shape. I'll snag a pic of it next time I'm at my parents.
