Round 1 done. Got 9th overall due to a dnf the first moto.A cycra handguard and skidplate were casualties. Already ordered the new handguard bar for replacement. I'll probably go with the gytr skidplate next since it can't crack and will only dent instead.

Tuned the bike to the mxa map and as well as cleaned up/oil changed. 11:48hrs on the bike currently and running great as expected.

Nope. I only ordered the bars themselves. So the plastic parts and hardware will be reused.

$90 for bars or $180 for the full set again. Choice was obvious.

I probably should order new handlebars too

I had a DRZSM a couple of years ago, it was black and super clean (almost showroom).. Kinda wish I hadn't sold it, it was a Hooligan machine... The guy drove two states away to get it, and he got an awesome deal..
Every once and a while I'll check Craigslist for them, and I see how ones that aren't even remotely as nice as mine was, are going for thousands more, with thousands more miles and years older...

I've also been o_Oeyeing those little Groms too... Seems like a good "little" bike to take along with you on truck adventures etc..

    BTW sweet bikes you got:thumbsup:

I had bought mine used, but the guy had babied it, and it only had like 800 miles on it... I only put like a thousand or so on it... Def fun bike... Looking back I had found one of those jewels that rarely come along..

I knew a guy who had one that had 45k on it, he beat the turd out of it as a DD, and it was running just fine.

I loved my drz400sm, but yeah, it was pretty gutless with my fat ass on it. Only had the full yosh ti exhaust and jetting tho.
The first time I ever rode a sumo was way back in the 90s when I only rode street bikes, and one of the race shops had a sumo'ed Honda CR500 two stroke on race slicks. It was absolutely bananas. And I only rode it up the street a block or two.

Yeah they are, it's weird only a couple of years ago they weren't like now.. You could run across a good deal. Slim picking now.
Yeah tires get chewed when you beat on them.
