3x as long as the HF knives. The point is, when I drop the HF knife tip first on the concrete, I never think "Fuck, that's gonna get some damage".

And Scouts love to sit around a campfire and sharpen their knives and then whittle a stick, so that works fine.

I have a newer one. Burned up on me pretty quickly. The one I had was that maroonish color, not orange

I have a very nice Hitachi 4-1/2" grinder I got 4 or 5 years ago after a Milwaukee I inherited from my uncle burned out, I use it for heavy/extended work, but for just plain wire-brushing and other down-and-dirty work I use the ¹--they are on sale for $9.99 every three months or so, sometimes $7.99 during one of their "special" sales. For $8 a pop who cares if they chew up the gears/burn up in a couple/three months...

    Drill-Master (4.3 A, $13.99 reg, usually $9.99 on sale):

    -------------------------------------------------
¹ - Drill-Master is HF's low-end brand; and yes, as surprising as it may seem HF has a low-end "brand". Their is the "high-end" crap.

    Chicago Electric (5.0 A $21.99 reg, usually $16.99 or $15.99 on sale):

I have no idea what the real difference is?

Bought 1 of these worry free tires
They have air but aren't supposed to go flat
Put it on a wheel barrel that I pilled out of the garbage, was brand new

I bought a set of I think 6 spade bits this past weekend. For what I'm doing they'll be perfect and they were like $5.

I bought the CH one. It's more flexible than another poly hose I have. Maybe because it's new?

I like the assembly this comes with. Very portable, but mountable. Not bad for ~$55. Maybe I'll upgrade at some point and use this in the Tacoma.

Don't know if they have Tractor Supply stores in your location, however I have purchased four of these; Flexzilla SmartFlex 3/8" x 50' Air Hose for $20 a pop. They are amazingly flexible in all temperatures and handle my compressor's 155 psi maximum with no problem. The only issue I have found it that they expand quite a bit when pressurised and it is best to not pressurise them on a reel and to depressurise them before reeling them up.

And a different type of bender. You need a rotary bender for heavy wall tubing or a mandrel bender for thin wall tubing.

I have the same one and beat the crap out of it. Only problem I had was the brushes wearing out.

What a silly, frivolous lawsuit--are the plaintiffs trying out for the coveted "Doh!" award? Did they really believe they were getting the equivalent of a $600 Snap-On impact wrench for $79.99? How old were they 8 or 9?

I'd be ashamed to admit publicly I thought HF's "compare to" prices were real--it would be less embarrassing to openly admit belief in the tooth fairy or "temporary taxes"...

Didnt see it sorry for the re-post

Completely agreed, although I blame the lawyers or law firms, as they are the ones usually pushing these things as far as I understand. Im sure there are a couple people who feel they were taken advantage of but I can't imagine them being very intelligent, especially enough to effectively push for a lawsuit on their own.

Absolutely on both counts. In most of these nuisance suits the defendant (Harbor Freight in this case) does the math and settles for a $$ amount they can live with--and the lawyers get a very nice piece of the pie.

Further convincing me that HF views the whole thing as nothing but an annoyance is that I have not seen any sign of them changing anything. In a flyer I received just today they are offering a "Badlands" 12,000 lb. 12V winch for $289.99 with the tagline "Compare $752.99". It seems obvious they believe there are sufficient number of dolts out there that swallow the crap to make an occasional settlement nothing more than an additional advertising expense--speaking of which any monies they do pay out under the agreement will likely reduce their overall tax liability making it even more negligible in the overall scheme of things...

Got this bad boy in the mail today :bananadance:

It was like $85 with coupon(shipped) and if it works at least a couple times I'll be happy to not have to wrench on a manual one for those couple of times.

    IMG_2391.jpg
I'm actually pretty excited to test it out tomorrow :drevil:

The hose is definitely too long and it seems like they want you to disassemble the punch to fit it in the case which requires unhooking it and loosing a bit of fluid each time. I might have to ditch the case and toss it in a bag or something
