Thankfully, the cone isn't the only method, as you have discovered. Sadie had to wear this for over a month after surgery to remove a foxtail from her side. Bulky as hell, but effective. She could use it as a pillow when lying down.

When I put a cone on my dog Guido, he runs along the leg of the dining table and break it off. He thinks it's a game to get the cone off.

Had a lady friend over a few nights ago. She said Hiccup had some serious mental issues because he wouldn't settle down and stop pestering her. Told her that he isn't used to visitors, especially females and he thinks you're an outsider and shouldn't be here. Then I got the "well I'm great with dogs and never have any issues........." You can make fun of me, talk bad about my taco/bike/CJ or golf game, but talk bad about my dog. F-off twit

He looks well adjusted to me

Here's my new addition, Dolly. She's my first. If anybody has any tips and trick for hauling a dog in the back seat of an access cab go ahead and shout it out. I'm about to start searching.

A travel kennel/crate will work for a while. There have been several guys who have converted the rear area of the access to a deck so the dog rides comfortably there.

In my 05 access cab I just flip the seats down and it creates a flat platform for my dog.

The 06 still has the solid flat bench across the back, fold down the cushions and it's a huge platform back there. If you feel the need to restrain the pup then you can use any one of a number of seatbelt restraint harnesses. I think the guys building the platforms are the ones with the newer models that don't have the flat rear bench.

Yeah I've got the seats folded flat to give her the platform. I like the idea of a molded mat that would keep any kind of water or dirt contained to that area. I saw an post about a mat that husky used to make that fit the area well but I think it's no longer available.

I said the heck with it and ripped the jump seats out in mine and built a platform with storage underneath for guns and the hilift. Shelf lining for antislip and bench seat cushion with removable cover for the dog. Works great for me and more importantly the dog. And if your willing to basically turn over the back seat to your dog. And as good looking as that pup of yours is I would if it fit into your lifestyle. Can always put the seats back in later if needed.

My dog has never heard a gunshot yet so I don't know if she is scared of the sound or not. The land I shoot on has chicken and rabbit poop everywhere so I don't take my dog with me because she will gobble up every drop of rabbit poop and chase a rabbit to the next county.
