I'm trying to figure out a wider tire as well. Wouldn't mind my truck having a few inch wider stance. The stock tires on my 2017 OR seem skinny

I'm not sure what part of the conversation is going over your head. The initial restriction is the width of the stock wheel.

So a 235 x whatever is the largest to safely run on that wheel. The aspect ratio can change to make it taller or shorter, but the width cannot increase.

In fact, most places won't even like putting the 235 on a 6" wheel, but it will work, and be fine, on a normally driven street truck.

Gone over the Top for a 5-lug..
Wider tire carcass, requires a wider rim.

Maximal realistic and road-safe on the OEM rims is 235/75R15. Full stop.

You will need to buy new rims, with offset, back-spacing, bolt pattern, compatible hub-centre diameter, and rim width appropriate to the tire size that you wish. Your choice and sizing of rubber will open up, but only if you choose the correct new rims. Many people have gone, where you want to go, in this forum section.

The largest realistic upgrade tire size is constrained by multiple factors, related to the limitations of the 5-lug design, and how other components may interfere with suspension, body, frame and braking components. Too large - you've got to take into account the real possible need, and cost involved, to regear. This potentially can get very expensive.

To replace your tires with larger than 235ish, you will need to invest further into other parts, components, and upgrades and explore the various other options and limitations, than just the tires. All of the information needed, is in this group. Look for build threads. Go through the 5-lug pictures thread, and get a handle on what you want to do in terms of changes to your truck, and track/research back what needs to be done. Ask questions from that point, to narrow down what you need to know.

The newest thing seems to be people reaching for 33's, with their 5-lugs. I'm not convinced on the wisdom of doing so, to explore the outer limits of the 5-lugs capabilities.. but all the power to them i guess. Not for me to judge. It takes some work to get there.

Clearwater Bill has dispensed valuable information, in this, and the other thread. Not trying to discourage you from asking questions .. but the tire size question was pretty basic.
