Damn I really wanted to get a Tacoma but after seeing people get them and watching them pull into parking lots with squeaky springs makes me laugh at them and all people lining up at dealers buying them without even knowing all the problems they are having. Do the 2nd gen have squeaky springs as well?

Just did a mass email to 8 dealers in three states. I'll let them fight it out.
**update** #1 out of the fight won't budge from MSRP

**update** #2 out of the fight won't budge from MSRP

**update** #3 out of the fight, Byers in Ohio had the balls to and tell me that MSRP on a MT was $43047. Are these guys that stupid to think we don't research this crap before asking for quotes?

I know it's not entirely relevant, but about a month ago I ordered a 2017 Ford Raptor for $500 over invoice. I'm hoping to take delivery in late November. This is the third Raptor I've ordered since 2011.

If you opted for a base 2017 super cab Raptor (which I did not), the invoice would be very close to the TRD Pro Tacoma prices I've seen talked about in this thread. Having owned multiple Raptors and now a 2016 Tacoma DCSB TRD OR, I can honestly say that the Raptor is exponentially better in pretty much every way.

If the Raptors larger size works for you OP and you have time to order/wait, the Raptor seems like an absolute no-brainer over the TRD Pro with "market adjustment" ripoff factored into the price.

Yes, I love our Raptor!! However, I love my 16 DCSB TRD OR, too! In my opinion, two different animals that have areas in which they shine.

I'm interested in a TRD PRO but it look to be impossible to get one in SoCal without some market adjustment, anywhere from 5k to 15k over MSRP. Ridiculous. Can you advise which dealers don't charge markup?

Got mine at an Autonation in NorCal. I don't think they're allowed to do markup (company policy, or so I've heard) and actually got mine for under MSRP.
I only waited 3-4 weeks, too. I think a previous potential buyer backed out and I had lucky timing.

Longo and Toyota Carlsbad in SoCal do not do markup on Pros but unless you're super lucky/already have a deposit with them you probably won't be able to buy a 2017 Pro. Wait lists are insane and they are actually creating wait lists for the 2018 Pro. If it exists.

I was lucky to get my Cement Pro 6MT with no markup.

Get a non-pro and put that anal-rape sucker premium toward a full King setup and a box of TRD stickers.

No kidding. They wanted My 09 DCLB with OME and ARB front bumper with 95K on it plus $25K. Took my keys and walked away laughing. He said I should really trade mine in because the miles were getting high, and it would be likely to start having major problems. I said if it was going to star having problems like that I trade it on a dodge across the street. I'd be money ahead to take even 50% of what the payment would be and set that aside to fund a new motor and transmission down the road.

And in 2 months you would be trading in that piece of shit for the Pro you wanted.
