is the ride rough? Could I just put 5100 on front at 1.75 and a aal on back? Would I have to put 5100 on back also?

What wheels and tires you running? Looks good.

Do the 4x4 sit any higher than the pre runners?

Yes, you can do just that! I had the same set up before I went with OME 888 coils. I thought the truck rode pretty nice and had decent road manners.

Prerunners sit higher than 4x4 because it's missing the front diff. Bilstein documentation gives you a good estimate on height with install based on the seat heights.

@zippsub9, my brother, I love him!
Still waiting for 5100 for 2016 to come out. I know I could just use the older ones but don't want to run into to any other issues down the line. Will set at .85 and summo springs in the rear.

If I put 5100s in front and a aal in rear will that raise the rear without putting 5100s on rear?

The springs set the ride height not the shocks... exception is the front if you set it higher than zero setting on the 5100s it will raise the front at the expense of shock travel. The rear gets higher just by adding leaf springs.

If you're doing the install yourself may as well just add new springs up front and in the rear.... do it once save time = $$. The same if you pay some one else to do it.

If you only have the coin to purchase just shocks... do it but they have to be installed and the price will be the same or close with or without new springs. Not sure you want to keep the OEM springs?? The 5100s with new springs all around is a pretty nice setup... a BIG improvement over stock in all driving situations.. specially off road and highway driving.

Has anyone used the stock Springs with an approximately 120# bumper? Is that too much weight and preload on the stock Springs?

    Yes!

You'll want old man emu springs with that heavy bumper.

888 or 886 depending on what else you throw on it.

Those are definitely way too heavy since it's a 4cyl PR. Considering 884 but even that may make it sit a little too high for my liking.

You're posting in the 3rd gen section.

I assumed you upgraded to a new truck and didn't change your vehicle specifics.

More help in other areas on the forum. Suspension would be a good start.
