No, we're talking about the Fox steering stabilizer above the PSC Hydro assist ram

Isn't that what hydro assist is for? I am not understanding what is the need or benefit to add a steering stabilizer to the mix. I think this is the first time I see a rig with hydro assist with something like that.

Anyway, that is a very nice rig! Gotta love those SAS 4runners.

    Probably a little more than 10k :D

As my buddy explained, hydro assist makes it easier to steer when wheeling, basically you can steer literally with one finger (before was harder to steer when car is not moving). And stabilizer helps you when you hit bumpy road, it doesnt trow your vehicle, so literally stabilize the vehicle on the bumpy road with those big tires and just like i said hydro just makes your steering wheel easier to steer.

    Probably a little more than 10k :D

Yes more then 10K for sure, 6-7k just for the axles, lockers, regearing and etc. front suspension i belive 1.5K and list goes on

Hydro assist is already like a big steering stabilizer. You are not getting any benefit from a stabilizer at all. Anything a stabilizer would do is handled by the ram because it does not allow side to side movement in the steering over any conditions. Your buddy doesn't know what he is talking about.

That's what I thought but was afraid to push the argument further in case there was some real new technology of adding a steering stabilizer on top of hydro assist that I wasn't aware of :D

My buddy knows what he is doing, he build a sick rig that not most guys have guts to do it. If he put extra stabilizer doesnt mean he doesnt know what he is doing

I think the argument here is about reasoning for the additional steering stabilizer. Nobody said that your friend does not know how to build a rig; that 4runner obviously looks like it was built very well overall.

Personally, I was genuinely curious to know if there was any real world benefit to the additional stabilizer; as I have never seen a rig that needed a steering stabilizer in addition to hydro assist.

As mentioned already, it is not needed and it is probably not doing anything other than being there getting people's attention that will ask these questions :D

I'm gonna put a steering stabilizer on my full hydro ~ sounds pretty dumb doesn't it. Just because someone "knows" what they are doing doesn't mean they know EVERYTHING. That's what people are for, to help others, live and learn.
