    Hey guys,

    I bought a 2010 Tacoma with 18" wheels, a 4" lift, and Trail Grappler Tires LT275/70/R18.

I live in Montana, and I drive the Forest Service roads a lot, take my truck back country for hunting, etc. So these tires were fine for that. However, I am moving to Seattle, and the Trail Grapplers are about worn out, so it's new tire time.

I'm looking for some suggestions. I'm looking for a tire that gets better gas mileage, but can be taken on a forest service road when I want to go canoeing, or fishing, etc.

I don't need anything knobby and bad ass, but decent enough to give me some traction if I get into some funk. I also won't be dealing with snow in Seattle like I do here, so that changes things as well.

Obviously I am not going to get excellent gas mileage with any kind of All Terrain tire, but almost anything will be better than the Trail Grapplers. Just looking for a solid, sturdy tire, but to fit the wheels I currently have.

Thank you for your time, guys!

I was given a suggestion of a Michelin Defender LTX 245/65R18

Which is alright...but after the Trail Grapplers...that's about as boring a tire as it gets. HA!
