    Similar to how there's a big push for German automobile manufacturers to release the data for keys to locksmiths. Right now if you have a MB, Audi, VW, BMW etc and you lose your key Friday night....well then you're usually SOL until Monday. And good luck convincing a tow truck to drag it on his truck with the transmission locked in park. The national insurance company I work for gets 20 calls a day for this, we tell owners to write their congressman. Sucks. Its your car but you can't do a damn thing to them anymore.

    I work/ manufacture ag harvesting equipment and we deal lot with JD directly. They do have quite a bit of special software that we have to call a tech out to deal with from time to time, especially with this new tier 4 final stuff we've been pushing thru. It's rather annoying that im waiting for the ECM to be programmed because i had to put a 90 degree outlet on the DPF. cant start it until it has the right programming. blah.
