Intake Questions? I need more HSP stat!!!

    2016 QS Tacoma TRD Off Road
    In the works
    I have a 2016 TRD off-road,I live in Denver but I'm in the mountains a lot and find that when at high altitude (ex.Vail pass)on I-70 my truck switches gears a bunch when trying to maintain 65 to 85 mph. I feel like it can't breath. Should I get a K&N drop in or is it worth the extra money to get a cold air intake that claims to gain 18HP?
    Any extra HP advice is appreciated.
