I know there are some with issues but here is my response to this Consumer Reports Video.

"Stiff ride"....it's a truck! You want a pansy ride, get a Ridgeline.
    "Clumsy handling"...it's a truck! You want a car-like handling, get a Ridgeline.
"Can be loud"...it's a truck! You want a quite car, you baby, get a Ridgeline.
"Average Owner Satisfaction"...it's a truck! You want to feel satisfied cupcake? Get a Ridgeline.
"Can find a more rewarding truck elsewhere"...buy a GM truck, we'll see what feels more rewarding 5-10 years from now.

Man that ridge line looks like a Japanese El-Camino doesn't it? I'm not bashing it, great vehicle, but i just can't unsee the accord in it. Hard to call it a truck or car, its like an accord that grew a mullet and been getting some gains at the gym.

I love my '17 Sport MT. I don't agree with anything in that video.

Bought a 2002 S-10 new (actually, the wife did). Sold it in 2016 with 251,000 miles on it. It had been in a few wrecks. It needed minor maintenance/repairs. It really was a good truck. Most of the GM trucks really are pretty decent. Toyota really ain't all that much better.

I did like the feel/fit/finish of the Tacoma better than the Colorado, between that and resale, I went with the Taco thinking if I don't like it, I'll get my money back out of it. I'm pretty happy with the truck, but this fanboi-ism is honestly just silly. Plenty of 15 year old plus trucks with 250,000 miles on them out there. It's just a fact.

:bored: Bored on a rain day from driving my concrete truck (GVW 80,000 lbs) so I checked in to see if anything has changed.....NOPE!!!

    :blahblah:

I am way ahead of your "advise". About 9,000 mi ago. Baby.... Cupcake? Really?! :jerkoff:

I gave it 12k mi to adjust to it. Ya..mmmm..NO.

If it was a $15-20 grand new vehicle, ya those things are to be can be tolerated. Not for my $35-40 grand. :amen:

BTW, its not a truck until you get to 24,000lb GVW. These are all pick ups. :stirthepot: :crapstorm:

    I mean seriously.

    1) Anyone who considers CR as a credible vehicle review source is suspect already.

    2) Anyone who gets upset at a CR vehicle review is already giving them credibility.

    3) Let it go. Save your energy for the important things in life.

    Could be that as well.

A lot depends on what part of the country you are in, the mix and how may yards you need. May be a short load charge if less than 5 CY. I wouldn't be surprised to see $200 in LA or NYC.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
Had maybe 10-12 Toyota trucks and all were pretty good and like my 2016 very much.

Had a Ridgeline several years ago and liked it except ... too car like for me and too big ... but fit and finish and quality was maybe better than Toyota.

I like the small truck feel of the Tacoma ... it is a perfect fit for me at this point in my life.

Someone is a little insecure huh?

I would trust GM over Toyota now (actually always have), you can't base the currently gen trucks reliability on their 80's trucks (I promise that is what is in your head); but you go ahead and knock your self out on that cupcake and let us know how it goes. I would not be the slightest bit shocked if a Ridgeline turned out to be more reliable...

GM has contracted with Toyota several times over the years to build some models of there vehicles. AFAIK Toyota has never once asked GM to make there vehicles for them.

Insecure? Nah, just like bashing. My brother works for Honda and could have passed down a huge discount. No way....that car IS for Cupcakes. Oops did I use the word Cupcake again?:mudding:

It's not that they get to 250K miles, it's how they behaved getting to that mileage.

I agree, plenty out there with that kind of mileage but how many without ANY major repair work done. I had a Taco that had 200K on it when I sold it. All it had done on it was maintenance. Once my Taco proves me wrong I'll stop being a fanboy. Until then....well heck this is a TW forum! :)
