I had a feeling a lot of people were like me and wanted something that would work as a step first and a mild slider second made from square tube lol

As always I brought an idea of a "chase rack" build to Ryan @Shmellmopwho and he exceeded my expectations. Here's some pix of how it came out. The price was right and the turnaround time was 2 days. I supplied the straps, spares, jack, fire extinguisher and lights. I want to thank Ryan for making my vision a reality!!!

Hey dude, since we both live in a world where people WILL steal your hard earned toys if given the opportunity so I was hoping to see if I could give you a challenge and maybe work with me on a custom design of either option to add a bit of security to the quick grip brackets, by adding a removable security bracket. Locked down by either locking knob or padlock. I kind of prefer the aesthetics of using a threaded rod and a locking knob from Hi-Lift Yakima or Thule, but I guess either way would add some theft deterrent, a good padlock might be more secure than the locking knob, not sure if there will be added noise from locking bouncing around against metal bracket.

As far as the bottom support, I just like the extra bend so more surface area rest against the bed to distribute load against it.

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

That's my thought man. It's an untapped market I think. Schmell should jump on it. Getting a few fill plates for sure when I do mine.

Hey man, I can appreciate the design and stuff but I started making custom length cable locks for people so that they can lock up their stuff easily. Unfortunately with my press brake I can't create an extra bend against the wall like that cuz its way too tight to the next bend and I wouldn't be able to get the next bend down in the brake.

I'm down to make square sliders for anyone that requests.

Great seeing you again too buddy! I'm glad everything turned out nicely and you're stoked about it all. Was fun chit chatting and working on the truck man!!
