Long Bed KB Voodoo Rack on a DCSB

For those of you that have wondered if it is possible, I present to you a Long Bed, Tall, @KB Voodoo bedrack on a short bed taco. It actually lines up perfect with the bolts all ready in the side of the bed.

Is it totally recommended? Probably not. But does it work? Definitely.

EDIT: I'm an idiot. This is the thread about long bed racks on short bed trucks, and it isn't on a 3rd gen.

That said, it should work the same. The bed dimensions haven't changed in any way that would effect it.

 

Is there an issue with the back legs resting on the edge over time? Doesn't look like it has a completely flat surface to rest on but not sure if that matters?

 

Time will tell I guess. I haven't done this personally, and don't plan to.

It's nice to have the bed rack a foot or so in front of the tailgate. It gives you room to move back there. I wouldn't want it all the way to the end of the bed.

 

@KB Voodoo what are the options for shortbed TRD Offroads that go the full length of the bed rather than cutting it short 1 foot?

 

You can put our long bed rack, on a short bed truck.

 

I have been putting a short bed rack on my long bed.. about to be doing it with the 2nd rack in a few weeks
