Hi, I wanted a bed rail mounted quick grip bracket with an added bit of security because sadly I know people steal stuff at first opportunity if I were to go inside a truck stop to use the restroom or something. So I just wanted to share my MS paint adventure tonight, It's pretty much the standard bracket design everyone puts out, but adding a removable security bracket. Locked down by either locking knob or padlock. That was I can keep stuff secure while on the road. I kind of like the aesthetics of using a threaded rod and a locking knob from Yakima or Thule, but I guess either way would add some theft deterrent, a good padlock might be more secure than the locking knob, not sure.

As far as the bottom support, I just like the extra bend so more surface area rest against the bed to distribute load against it.

I asked one of the community's fabricators to see if they'll make me a one off, hopefully that happens, but none the less I wanted to share.

I like the pad lock version. If they do make this as a sellable product, curious if they could put a little tab with a 90* bend on the removable security bracket, this way when installed it would block access to the hardware holding it to the bed rail. Figured if you use a Torx bolt or Allen bolt, having that tab would prevent getting a tool in there to take the whole thing.
