No, he spent it, then blamed ARB for the problem and stopped giving updates - when he did give updates, they were bullshit.

I don't know what happened (nobody has cleared the air with exactly what happened), but everyone was up shits creek until Bob got involved, then Bob took over and orchestrated a GB for the remaining amount of snorkels that were needed to fill the order MahaloTaco tried to fill and couldn't, out of his own greed.

He screwed everyone involved. The only reason anybody has anything except a pending lawsuit and missing money is because Bob.

    Fuck MahaloTaco.

I mated my snorkel with a volant CAI using a 4" fernco. I had to enlarge the fender well hole for it to fit right.

    What a read!

My snorkel arrived a while ago but it being -30C I wasn't very interested in a driveway install. Last weekend it was only -2C so I went out to tackle it. It took me five hours start to finish. I spent close to an hour looking for something to cut that support with.. finally found rusty tin snips buried in the corner of the garage (I need to organize tools better). I also fiddled with that elbow through the existing hole into the engine bay for a while. I searched on here and saw the heat gun suggestion, so I did that and it worked great. I dropped the nut for the top stud a few times before I gave up on it.. which is exactly what I did when I helped Sarah (fiance) install a snorkel on her FJ about a year ago. My last issue was the screw to hold the top hat. I drilled a small hole through the hose clamp, hat and snorkel before I tried to put the self tapper in, but the screw still wouldn't go into that hose clamp. Ended up ruining the threads on the screw and giving up on that too.

    In summary,
-5 hours, but could do it in 2-3 now that I know where my tin snips are and what to do with that elbow not quite fitting. Especially if it wasn't in a below freezing, snowy driveway.
-I used the included self tappers for the A pillar mount.
-I gave up on the nut for the top stud. Seems plenty solid without it.
-Left the holes in the air box alone. I figure if water gets in the snorkel during rain or snow I'd prefer it being able to drain out.

I was barely able to thread the bolt and then a ratchetching wrench finished it off. Took a while but got it on there good and tight.

Adhesive is a damn good idea to not drop it.

    Too busy cursing for photos.

Plus I haven't been able to wash truck for a long time due to hose being frozen... and only car wash in town closed down.. so it's embarrassingly dirty.

Thats good. Transactions are hard to do over the internet where there is no person to person I think. Once someone misunderstands something the whole thing is blown out of proportion. Glad it all worked out

    It wasn't a misunderstanding...

It was a douche taking money and spending it before GB was full.

ramonortiz55, thanks for the info. I will just have to keep looking or pay the full price at an online outfit. New to this, is the Airflow snorkel comparable to the ARB snorkel?
