    Like, so many.
Like a lot of folks, I'm not a fan of the chrome grille. I dipped it and it looks much better. But after a couple of road trips, some time on the trails, and some washings, it's starting to chip. It's only been a couple of months and I'm not interested in touching it up all the time.
Maybe at some point, I'll just order a grille I like, but what are some other options? Actually painting it? Could I do that myself?
I'd appreciate your thoughts or even pics of what you've done. Thanks.

I have that cheese grader grill and left it along for that reason. A lot of guys are replacing with the SR, SR-5, or the Pro grill.

Yeah, those pro grilles are NICE.
What about a more permanent spray on liner?

Thats what i used for supplies. Chrome plastic is a pita from what sem techline said. This is pretty much what was recommended

    Taped scuffed and cleaned

Done. Not quite as glossy as factory paint but looks decent especially from a couple feet. Been a year since i did it and hasnt chipped much except for an edge i think i missed scuffing well. Cost about 50 and took a couple hours

I painted mine. 1st time really spray painting anything in a long time and it turned out ok (see Avatar on left). Scuffed up the chrome with a scotch brite pad, sprayed on adhesive promoter, then several coats of flat black until I was happy with it. From there a few coast of flat clear coat. Re-assembly and done.
I followed this guys guide: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bbp-color-keyed-grille-mod.398636/

I like that. Looks like that's going to last a really long time. If I ever need to re-do mine I might try this.
