I understand that. I don't think I explained it correctly. But yes, the leafblower would need to create enough pressure to negate the vacuum pressure and then some to have positive pressure(boost).

Guys, mostly I have no idea about turbo, all I know is that the air is pushed in the intake as opposed being sucked.
And to think that all started by my question about the 2 different 3.5L engines. Also (very honest) I didn't know that ECO-BUST is turbo, I had the impression that is related to ECO(logy)-BUST and the engine is more Earth friendly...Have confused the ECO-BUST with Flex-Fuel. Live and learn.

Leaf blower would be a Supercharger not Turbocharger...:) But in theory, yes that would absolutely work with 2 caveats.
    1) you would need a lot more power than 1 single leaf blower could produce. Probably 5 or 6 at a absolute minimum.
    2) you would also need to modify the ECU to add more fuel. To add more fuel you may be in the area of new injectors & fuel rail. But with 6 leaf blowers you probably only need a few drops of extra gas.
(Note, the alternator required to drive electric leaf blowers would take more HP than they actually gave, or 5 x 1hp gas leaf blowers would give you less than a 5 HP increase)

Functional hod scoops have been tried before, they were big in the 60's (I actually have a car with one). In theory yes it would "help", in practice there simply isn't enough volume and pressure than can be gained to actually make any noticeable difference. Also some aerodynamics that I don't fully understand around lowpressure come into play. I think the only company that's had any luck with them is Subaru but that for ducting air into the intercooler.
