guys I really messed up... I got in a bad crash with a drunk driver..... my white Tacoma got hit bad

And ...well... I ended up finding a Tacoma pretty quick I actually bought a 2002 v6 4x4 TRD 5speed STEP SIDE I'm not the biggest fan of the stepside but it's a great looking truck power windows and locks rear locker !!!!! I like it a lot more than my other truck and I got it for penny's on the dollar... mostly cause it was a salvage title and I needed to get a lot of inspections to register and have a actual pink slip... after everything I finally got tags and a pink slip in my name, the only really big thing I wasn't happy about is theres a 6inch lift on it :( my seat belts are locked and my frame is a little rusty not to bad but i'mm going to put a undercoat on asap here's a picture of both the trucks at the desert RV Park last thing I gotta do is change tires and tint windows IMG_0708.jpgIMG_0721.jpg

I probably would have just fixed the white Tacoma if it wasn't a pre runner 4cylinder I'm already living the 4x4 , and a rear locker!!! Damn it makes a world of difference I can go out on trips with everyone now !!

I actually have a problem with my truck after I run it on the highway Then stop at a gas station, when trying to start the truck, it will want to stall and SURGE idle then die, I'm going to check MAF tomorrow and try to clean the ICV as well I'm not sure what to do I'm just reading I want a reliable truck ,

Very strange is the guy Is a cool guy very honest and I got a CEL that said charcoal canaster was bad and I cleared code i have been driving for two days 150 miles it hasent came on yet, he said it never been on before and he never had stalling problems before,

Even stranger I emptied probably 11 Quartz of oil from the engine today !!!! Last night I drove home at 85 mph for an hour straight after that is when idle problem started it's a Toyota , I mean shit I'll blow it up and put a New motor in I like it a lot I just need to cut the 6inc lift off hahahahah

Seems like there's a reason you got it so cheap.

Yeah there hardly 7 months old rims and tires I was going to swap them today but I wasn't feeling up to the challenge and there's no alignment shop open on Sunday so I didn't want to hurt my tires I'll just wait till I can maybe do it over the weekday after work I'll need to get a torq wrench from my uncle and then go buy a 21 thin wall socket for rims and wheel spacers, I've started to mess with the maf because there's a surge in the idle when it starts up after getting off freeway or somthing, I'm not getting any codes neither

You should take the time and Frankenstein them together. Swap beds, swap the front end parts, etc. Make the best out of what you got and sell the unneeded parts.

Not to bad of an idea I've tossed around a few ideas of turning the white truck to a full cage and go all out, but it's not fast enough for that, I mean shit the silver truck doesn't look bad with the stepside I mean it's not normal but that's not somthing you see everyday , although after I bought the stepside I've seen tons of silver red and black stepsides, mostly single cabs and a S-runner I mean honestly I would LOVE to just cut the 6 inch lift off and buy some icons or somthing to put he lift at 3 inches I'd rather do that then take apart the white one to get a full sized bed

Where are you at and what are you thinking about asking for the truck the way it sits?

It won't get sold the way it sits, tires and rims will be swapped, I work in north hollywood area and I need to get a specific amount of money and there's a point where I can't go any lower but I'm sure I'm doing okay with the price if your interested PM me your info and we can talk more about the truck it just needs to be pulled out and I was getting a few quotes but I never followed through they all said it'd only be one pull

Was reading about this here on forum somewhere that this is a problem caused from overfilling the gas tank. Fuel runs over and down in the charcoal canister and floods it essentialy. From my understanding just need to replace the canister.

Can't hurt to check/clean the IAC (idle air control) on your throttle body either. That and the maf
