Finally got mine on the truck last night! I really struggled with the T-nuts. Every time I'd try to thread a bolt in it would push the nut back and the threads wouldn't grab. I finally resorted to wedging balls of electrical tape behind them to keep them flush with the rails.

Looks great! I used a screwdriver to press the t-nut up against the rail so the bolt would grab easier and not push it back.

How long was everyone's wait? If I order tomorrow would i get it by July 1st? I see a lot of three bars for RTT but would two be just as strong? Plus can the hi-lift mounts hold maxtrax? Thanks

You should shoot @RelentlessFab an email or call them to get an estimate. Just depends on where they are in the production cycle.

Relentless Armored! Too many others to list.
Right now we're in a production run, I believe there are a few extra sets on the back end of this run so the next couple orders may be a short wait, the ones after we run out of the extras will be the longest since they'll be the first orders of the next batch. Best to call or email just before you order to know the most accurate timeframe possible.
Not sure if you could mount max trax, they may be too tall(wide) to sit on the side of the bars without interfering with an RTT on top(if that's your plan as it sounds like). Lots of people mount the small RTTs on 2, we always tend to recommend 3 bars to best distribute load on the bed of the truck.

The bars themselves can handle it with no problem......The bedsides, not so much, which is why I went with 3 to distribute the load.

Hmm...thanks, I've been trying to call the company but no one is picking up. I'll try again in a bit. Thanks for the tip.

Do it like this and you'll be all set. I mount my Tred pros to the back..it won't fit on the bars unless you put a spacer of some kind to keep it from rubbing on your tent and your truck. Cost $15 for parts to mount. Just T-slot nuts off Amazon, a wing nut..and a threaded bolt IMG_1473.jpg

Also three bars keeps the spaces small so my cooler and other items that are large can't be stolen when I'm out and about loaded with gear in town

Nice, I was just researching some stuff on the forum and I saw something like that too. That is the route I will be going to do. Now I am trying to find a pair of Maxtrax that isn't on Backorder or adds 100 plus for shipping already on the 299.99 price tag.

Has anyone heard of Hot Metal Fab? What do you guys think? http://www.hotmetalfab.com/new-products/universal-over-the-bed-tent-or-rack

This would be my Plan B if my Plan A with Relentless doesn't come through before the 1st of July.

Have you put the Tred Pros to use yet? How do they compare to Maxtrax?

I haven't owned maxtrax. we did put it to use last weekend on my buddies f-150. Surprisingly worked instantly. Hilly, torrential rained out mud run.
