So it's come down to the benchmade bushcraft, Becker BK 16 , and the tops Fieldcraft stainless. Becker being the cheapest, Benchmade taking the middle spot and the TOPS taking first at almost 200 bucks. Any one have experience with any of these that could give some insight? I own a becker BK2 and love it, so the 16 is kind of wining out right now, but i'd like some other opinions.

    I'd go with the BK16.

I don't own any of them, but was pretty big into bushcraft for a number of years.

The TOPS BOB might be my second pick of the 3 - it's just hard to beat the value of the BK16.

Schrade makes some tanks, I'll stick with my cheap Condor Bushlore.

^ Thats kind of where i'm at. I kind of think that tops isn't really that much better than a becker. Atleast not 100 bucks better.

I think it's more marketing and brand recognition with TOPS.

I don't find any of their knives really worth the price tag.

I'd love a Tom Brown Tracker though - but even that knife at several hundred bucks needs blade work and regrinding to really work good. At that price I'd want to avoid that level of reworking.

I always wanted one to mess with. Simple and cheap.

I liked the bench made because it was stainless, but I think the becker won out. My BK2 has been unstoppable, and the quality shows.
