What did you think you were going to get? Towing with a gas motor is towing with a gas motor.

Full-size would be about the same as the V-8s would not be in cylinder deactivation mode much, if at all, and the Ecoboost would be into boost all of the time.

Colorado with the diesel might be better for you but then you're dealing with GMs.

I am with you 100%, I had a senior moment and wasn't thinking.

 

I tow a 24 ft center console bay boat with a 225ho Etec motor. Always tow with the ECT button on and does fine. Is it fast. No. Drive at 65 all day long. Gas mileage suffers but so do all vehicles towing. Just takes a little more time to get to where ur going. Taco does great at the boat ramp too!
