Seat Belt Chime

Looking to turn off the seat belt chime on my 2017 push to start TRD OR. I have seen the posts about the later models having a code in the owners manual that disables the chime. Does anyone have a code to turn off the third gen models with a push to start??? Thanks in advance.

 

Please Lord, let there be a code for this! I buckle up, but at work I often drive from one building to another on our campus and the trip may take 45 seconds so I don't bother buckling up, but it's non stop beeping.

 

Thats an interesting app ive never heard of it but am looking into it. did you have to buy the app or is it part of the free version?

 

People have also reported that they have taken their trucks to a dealership where they have turned the chime off. Does anyone know if the repair center does that or can any sales associate do it? And do they charge for this service?

 

Dealer should be able to do it for free.
Or buy the caristaapp or techstream program.

Yes they do; via Techstream.
My dealer had me choose what I wanted when I purchased. I'm of the mind that, "no" they should not charge you.
I attached a PDF that lists everything you can have customized.

 

That was a a great list. I like the climate controls. I would love the have the center console vent in the back seat blow AC.

Can the Carista change all these settings?

You can get into Techstream fairly cheap these days though.

Carista app is a free download for your phone. you can do some customization for free but you have to pay $9.99 for one week (or $29.99 for a year) to get the full functionality including seat belt dings. I programmed my Taco, my wife's highlander and my father in laws Taco.

Local dealer wanted $150 per car. Ridiculous.

^^^ I'll 2nd that. I even bought one for my passenger seat, laundry basket would trigger the seat belt chime.

 

Going to ask the dealer to hook me up. I don't like those extender things......

 

No 'extender' needed. Just get the tongue off a junk yard seat belt and stick it in for temporary use.

Surely your bed has about 200#s of gear you need to get closer to the next door to work with?
