Just giving everyone a heads up if you buy or have the taco tunes sub-woofer box. It pushes out the air vent and then lets water come into your cab. I am currently trying to figure out how to modify it so it doesn't do that. After it gets pushed out though , the plastic tabs that hold the vent in place become bent and it will no longer seal. I will put a picture up once I have time and if anyone else has had this happen to them, what was your work around thanks.

What is hitting it from the inside exactly? I have the 10" box but haven't noticed anything hitting? I will need to look tomorrow

Remove the vent on the inside and seal it with abs and/or dynamat. I loss both my vents for my twins and no issues here!

I would just duct tape the vents shut.

Aren't these vents essential for the proper operation of the heat/AC/defroster, etc? Seems like you'd especially need them in areas that experience lots of poor weather. Ever closed your dash vents in a snowstorm?...windows get all foggy.

I shouldnt have to glue a hole shut on a 2016. just feels weird to me lol. I like the dynamat idea but that requires removing the whole vent.

i was told it was needed to keep your truck Windows from fogging up. I would ask ********* to build you a box designed for 3rd gen.

Last time I looked I couldn't see where to remove it , but i am going to go with the dynamat and silicone sealant. Maybe I wasnt looking good enough. Are there screws or clips on the back part of the vent. And thanks for all the help :)
