I think the front styling is better than the 3G Taco, but that's just me.

I found a few reviews of the 2016 Hilux from Australia, it was updated for 2016 same as the Tacoma. It appears the top trim 4.0 is almost the same as a 3G Tacoma. Same dimensions, but stronger rear suspension gets 2200lb payload. It has a steel bed, maybe that helps with payload.

I like it, tonka and all.

 

I'd rock the Tonka version. The regular TRD version not so much. My son would love the Tonka truck. I think the Tonka one should be what they are actually selling.

 

I'd take a Hilux in any flavor and be happy.
