You wanna work until 5 and then drive 4.5 hours to watch power points for2 days, then drive home?

 

Not really, but at this point it sounds better than trying to run an office full of retards, without having any actual authority, while your boss is on vacation for the week.

 

In the last couple hours you could tell people were starting to lose their sanity. The guy sitting next to me couldn't hold still

 

Ugh. That's the worst, is when a presentation isn't engaging.

Not bad, takes us about 45 mins to do the bushing. Hopefully getting the LCA bolts free isn't too big of a pain. My buddy charges $50 an hour for labor

 

Oh god and then there's always 2 people that have questions about everything!! And then the two times I had questions they were like "were going to take those until next week"

 

Thanks. My hope is that soaking them in penetrating oil each morning for the next couple of weeks before I leave for work will help unfreeze the cams. The rest of the work should be pretty simple.

 

I hope that works for you but I wouldn't get your hopes up too high. Toyota uses a sleeved bolt so there's a lot of surface area to rust together. I tried your approach for a while before finally cutting the front end apart and replacing the bolts. I greased the new ones pretty well when everything went together and they still froze up again in a couple years.

 

I might not mind that if your company is fair in the hiring and promoting process..

 

So what you're saying is that I should probably get the new hardware and some sawzall blades ready to go before I take it to the shop. Probably not a bad idea.

 

If you can free them up, that's great, just wanted to let you know what you're realistically up against. The hardware and bushings aren't exactly cheap or fun to replace.

 

Hey so who ever has met me knows, I smoke. But I've decided to try quitting again, picked up some patches tonight

 

Keep at it dude. Started smoking when I was 13 on and off, finally quit in January and have been feeling a hell of a lot better doing cardiovascular at the gym and such. I've had 3 cigs since January and could barely finish half way.

 

Nice man that's awesome! I've tried twice with the gum and it helped a lot but I'd get about halfway to not smoking anymore and get wicked sores in my mouth so I'm trying the patch this time. Been smoking for almost 5 years

Spitting truth. Like I said previously I was able to free 3 of my 4 cam adjusters, but it took considerable amount of effort last year. Just plan to make it a yearly maintenance thing to pull and anti-sieze the shit out of them. I did mine last April and will be pulling and anti seizing again soon when I install my new UCAs. Unfortunately up here it should be recommended yearly maintenance.

 

Just scored some

$51 Prothane 19-1751 Super Grease Tube - 14 oz.

Prothane 19-1751 in a dented container off ebay so I'll be using that to grease the bushings etc.

 

Who makes the aftermarket leaf spring shackles that could be used for stock height?
