Haven't installed mine yet. Just finished paying it off so now time to start thinking about installing.

They going to let those of us know who are running the current "tune"? Mine seems to run ok at the moment, but would like to see the afrs start dropping a little faster and according to the boost psi. I never installed the afr calibrator, got a little cold feet after @loginfailed had issues with his.

Quick question for you guys. I was just out doing my after lunch walk, and while walking past my truck, the lady I was with said "is your truck running?" I listened and it was the sc pump. It ran for a good minute or two before I got in the truck, started it up, and shut it off. The pump stayed off at that time. I know the pump is tied to the fuse that powers the emissions stuff, and it will come on from time to time, but I have only ever heard it kick on, run for a few seconds, and then shut off. This was at least a minute I let it go before getting worried. Is that normal? How long does the emissions stuff run before shutting off?
    Thanks in advance.

Normal. It takes power from the ECU fuse and EVAP do it things. This causes the pump running at the same time.

Take power somewhere else like I did.

I had mine do the same thing while out camping. Damn pump was going for well over a minute till I started the truck and turned it off.

I plan on finding an alternate power source for the pump in the future, but it's not high on my to-do list just yet.

I have reached out to Bully Dog multiple times to see if I can drop my truck off for them to tinker with. They are impossible to get ahold of and never return calls or emails.

I rewired mine so it only comes on with the key in the run position. The spot TRD/Magnuson says to hook the wire to is DUMB.

For those who have had issues with the Bully Dog Tune and have taken it to the dealer to get the TRD Flash. What exactly has the dealership done? I tried to go and get mine done today and the tech said that it wouldn't allow him to install the TRD flash calibration due to it already being up to date. I told him it shows as being up to date because the Bully Dog Tune masks itself as the TRD tune but he still couldnt get the computer to re-calibrate. Anyone have a contact of the tech that did theirs so I can call and talk to them and see what exactly they did?

That being said, my AFRs are reading slightly different after leaving the dealership (Previously I would hit the high 12s under boost and now it will hit 10-11 momentarily before jumping back up to 13-14. When I plug the Bully Dog tuner in it still says it is installed though.

Thats been pretty much the consensus with all of us who have tried removing the tune. I took mine to toyota after installing the BD tune and they said the same. I left and it felt better than it had before i went though.

I took it back and said this is the calibration ID i need, and they messed with it for a whole morning. Initially they said yes, they had been able to do the flash, but the paperwork i got said otherwise. I tried uninstalling the BD tune and it didnt help, same thing. Even though BD claims its reversible, which BD is full of BS on from what others who have been on the phone several hours with them have found. I know of only one who has successfully removed BD from their truck, @loginfailed . He actually bought a used ecu, installed it in his truck, bought a mongoose pro cable and subscription to techstream, and did everything himself.

Yeah I was catching up on the thread and read about his experience. Based on that it is probably the only way to go. The problem is, who wants a bully dog infested ECU when I replace it.

Nobody. It's unfortunate, because Magnuson/BD advertise that the supercharger is removable and the tune can be put back to stock for NA, but apparently not one person on here has been able to do it.

Someone mentioned BD working on a revised tune, so maybe there is hope yet. They just need the afrs to start dropping as the boost increases. Mine usually goes from 14.7ish down to 11ish all of a sudden at around 4-5psi.

Yeah mine goes from 14.7 jumps down to 10-11 and then bounces back to 12.7-13.5 and hangs there while in max boost.

Not sure why yours would jump back up to 12-13. Mine has never done that. Are you running stock sc? If smaller pulley, maybe needs a new fuel pump? 7th injector?

Why not just never install it, throw it in the trash and just get th TRD tune right away?!?
