Head light/tail light out on drivers side

    Hi folks,
    Got ready to go to work tonight only to find that my driver's side head light and tail light are out. Is there a common point that would cause both to go out at the same time? Seems kinda weird that I would loose both lights on one side at the same time. I haven't done any troubleshooting yet. That starts in the morning. Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and what did you find?

    The headlights and tail lights are on different fused circuits.

    Sounds like a coincidence to me, the tail light could have been out for a bit and you didn't notice.
