So I installed 2" strut spacers. Every time I hit a bump, my left side makes a nasty screeching sound as if there is a metal to metal rub.

I even cut the strut studs for clearance but the complete strut had to be rotated in order for the pacer studs to fit in the hole.

Can anyone explain what the 120° rotation means?
It said to rotate the top of the strut 120 degrees.

It's the brake bracket on the shock...look at your bumpstop and you'll see it. Just grind the braket so it clears or rotate your shock more

How would I rotate the shock? It only fits one way? I wasn't able to rotate just the top part.

The rotating is for the bottom of the shock to fit since the top rotated since your using new studs. You could possibly unbolt and rotate to see if it fits or just grind the bracket a little so it clears your bumpstop. I didn't want to unbolt again so I did the later

Thanks a lot. That took some stress off my mind. I'm getting alignment done now. 20170414_155006.jpg

Idk why everyone has a problem with the rotation of the strut part all you have to do is take your strut assemblies to a shop and have your springs compressed and rotate the top of the strut assembly and bam there are no clearance issues nothing it fits like stock

Most people enjoy working on their vehicles so they don't take it to a shop. The instructions arnt very descriptive as they should be about the rotation.

Ilyeah go ahead and try turning the top of the strut assembly without a legit spring compressor and tell me how that goes. I do all my work myself but I'm not gonna go to AutoZone and get some shitty spring compressors so that the slip and fuck me up

I just loosely bolt the top in and ran a rod through the bottom hole and rotated that way. To each his own

Only had 4k miles on mine and had to get the spring compressors to get them to rotate.

2" block in front and aal in back. I ended up chopping the brackets for clearance. $110 eBay.

Hey - my spring looks sketch as all hell now that I rotated it - barely looks like it is in....assuming I rotated the wrong direction? Or does this look normal...

Honestly I posted that a long time ago. I would do the shock decompression with the shock in the truck and using a jack.

Yeah I should have started with that but at this point I will probably do the spring clamps. The actual bottom part of the strut rotated instead of the top and it is only being held in by 2 of the 4 little seating areas.

I was furiously searching for strut rotation threads while working on it and this looked to be the most recent and full.
